Artist Valeria Mravyan studied art composition for textile design and spent the earlier stages of her artistic career creating contrasting abstract images through tapestries and batiks.

Although she exclusively turned to painting, Valeria continued to experiment with many mediums; namely oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastels, and mixed media.

"The idea is to capture an abstract feeling, a feeling influenced by time, an image that evokes universal familiarity... or life."

Since 1987 Valeria has exhibited her work throughout Toronto, New York, Los Gatos, Haifa, Tokyo, Moscow, and Frankfurt.

Currently, Valeria lives and works at the Artist’s House; her studio in the heart of historic Kleinburg Village.

Her art work can be seen in private and public collections.
